DELGOSEA Approach Presented in Platforma Forum, Italy

On April 2-3, the Platforma Forum on ‘Development and participatory governance: Which multi-actor partnerships in Europe and in partner countries?’ took place in Florence, Italy. On behalf of the European Network of Independent Political Foundations (ENoP), DELGOSEA Project Manager Susanne Stephan introduced DELGOSEA as one example of cooperation between Local Authorities (LAs) Non-State-Actors (NSAs) and Local Government Associations (LGAs).

The forum aimed at a reflection on partnerships between the European Commission, local and regional authorities and civil society. The discussions targeted the multi-stakeholder approach and its participatory and local ownership component between the above mentioned institutions and organizations. The forum was joined by Leonardo Domenici, Member of the European Parliament and Enrico Rossi, President of the Tuscany region along with over 300 delegates and representatives from other European and international organizations.

The forum was a great opportunity for DELGOSEA to present its approach to European stakeholders and make its network more visible within the European Union. The DELGOSEA network therefore extends its gratitude to the organizers of the forum; and to all participants involved who were eager to hear about DELGOSEA.
