The News

1. The DELGOSEA Network is up and Running Again

The first brainstorming and planning workshop of the DELGOSEA network (now known as DELGOSEA II) took place in Bangkok on 19 and 20 February 2013. 20 representatives of the original project partners, joined by H.E. Bagas Hapsoro, the former Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs, had some intense and fruitful debates on the future of the network.

2. What’s Planned in Indonesia – the Pilot Cities Share their Ideas for 2013

As part of a new series, looking at the development of the different pilot cities after the end of the DELGOSEA project, we are asking this month: what are the four Indonesian pilot cities, Kupang, Pangkal Pinang, Tarakan and Wakatobi doing in 2013?

3. Sharing the ManLuNa Experience

The cluster of municipalities of Manticao, Lugait and Naawan (ManLuNa) in the province of Misamis Oriental in the Philippines were holding a partnership forum on 7 March 2013, with the aim of sharing its experience in inter-local cooperation, gained through participation in the original DELGOSEA project.

4. What’s Happening in the Philippines – the Pilot Cities Share their Ideas for 2013

As part of a series looking at the development of the different pilot cities after the end of the DELGOSEA project, we are asking this month: what are the three Indonesian pilot cities, Alaminos, Bacolod and the two municipal clusters in Misamis Oriental doing in 2013?

5. Inaugural Meeting of the DELGOSEA Standing Committee

DELGOSEA II is continuing to take shape: on 21 March 2013, the constituting meeting of the DELGOSEA Standing Committee for Democratic Local Governance (DLG) took place in Manila with representatives from four of the five countries who are currently members of the Committee.
